VI BESØKER GIMSØY HISTORIELAG Lørdag 14 sept kl 1500

Lørdag den 14.september kl.15 besøker vi Gimsøya og blir tatt imot av ledelsen i Gimsøy Historielag. Vi setter opp denne turen for at flere skal bli kjent med historien der og med det fantastiske arbeidet som laget legger ned for å ta vare på Gimsøyas kulturminner samt deres historie.

Vi møtes på Gimsøy Bygdetun som ligger på en stor gårdshaug, ser på Gimsøysteinen, fjøsen med kulturhistoriske utstillinger, Barstrand gamle skole i laftet tømmer (flyttet helt fra Barstrand), Emmastua (demontert og laftet opp igjen), Halvdan bua og vi får også høre om Gimsøy eldre historie helt tilbake til vikingetiden. Vi får også litt historie om den kjente språkforskeren Hallfrid Kristiansen født Andreassen fra Gimsøy

Det koster kr. 200,- å være med på omvisningen, som inkluderer omvisning, en matbit, kaffeservering og en rekke historier inn imellom.

Siden dette er en påmeldingstur og begrenset til max 35 deltakere, ber vi alle om å ta kontakt med Kolbjørn: 906 92 113 eller Eldar: 458 91 804 innen 7.september 2019. Deltakerne samles ved Rådhuset på Leknes kl. 14.15 eller kjører direkte til Gimsøy Bygdetun.
